LimeLight Frolic Mouthpiece Choices: 70mm, 110mm and Angled Glass
Share
In short: choose the 70 mm short glass stem if your Frolic goes in a pocket, the 110 mm straight stem for home sessions and the longest plain glass path, or the 110 mm angled stem for that same length with a lower, more relaxed hand position. All three push into the Frolic's stock mouthpiece without tools, and fitting one doesn't involve the AFC ring that sets your airflow, so swapping between a short stem for travel and a long one at home is easy.
The LimeLight Frolic already has a long cooling path built in. LimeLight puts the internal pathways of the cooling unit at more than 200 mm. A Frolic glass stem changes the last part of that path, the part that touches your lips. This guide compares our three plain glass stems that insert into the Frolic's stock mouthpiece (70 mm straight, 110 mm straight and 110 mm angled), so you can choose by how you actually use the device. Stems with beads or a spiral inside are a separate decision, covered in our Frolic cooling stems comparison.

What a Glass Stem Changes, and What It Doesn't
The Frolic is a small device, 105 x 63 x 24 mm and about 245 g with its battery. It has a hybrid heater, a 0.96-inch colour screen and a PEEK airpath. Stock, you draw from a wide, elliptical mouthpiece at the back that LimeLight designed to slow the air down before it reaches you. Adding a glass stem changes three things:
- What touches your lips: glass instead of the stock mouthpiece. Glass is inert and see-through, so you can tell at a glance when it needs a clean.
- Where the device sits: a longer stem holds the Frolic further from your face, which many people find more comfortable on a sofa or at a desk.
- A little more path length: vapour travels slightly further before you draw it. Next to the more than 200 mm of internal pathway LimeLight specifies for the cooling unit, that's a modest addition, so don't expect a plain stem to do the job of a cooling stem or a water bubbler.
What sets the airflow is the AFC ring at the base of the mouthpiece, anywhere from fully closed to 25 litres a minute. LimeLight says the mouthpiece can be rotated to any position, and a glass stem sits in the mouthpiece rather than the ring, so as long as the ring doesn't turn while you fit the stem, your setting stays where you left it.
The 70 mm Short Glass Stem
The 70 mm short glass stem is the everyday option. It gives you a glass draw while keeping the Frolic small enough for a jacket pocket or a compact case.
Best for: carrying the Frolic daily, quick sessions away from home, and anyone who wants glass instead of the stock mouthpiece without changing how the device handles.
Trade-off: it's the shortest glass path of the three, so it adds the least distance between the heater and your mouth.
The 110 mm Straight Glass Stem
The 110 mm straight glass stem is 40 mm longer than the short one. That puts the device further from your face. Choose it if you want the longer option in a straight line, holding the Frolic in front of you.
Best for: home use, longer sittings, and owners who like a clear line of sight down the glass to check when it needs a clean.
Trade-off: the setup gets noticeably longer, and a long straight stem has more leverage on the mouthpiece if the device is knocked. Take it out before the Frolic goes in a bag.
The 110 mm Angled Glass Stem
The 110 mm angled glass stem is the same length as the straight version, but it's curved. The curve lets you hold the Frolic a little lower rather than level with your mouth.
Best for: people who find a straight stem makes them lift their wrist, and anyone who sits back for longer sessions.
Trade-off: the curve is harder to reach with a straight brush. And like any long glass, it's better left at home than packed loose.
LimeLight Frolic Glass Mouthpiece Options Side by Side
| Stem | Length | Shape | Compact | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Straight | 110 mm | Straight | Not really | Home, longer sessions |
| Angled | 110 mm | Curved | Not really | Home, relaxed hand position |
All three are borosilicate glass and sold one stem per pack. They're designed by The Vapetrix to fit the LimeLight Frolic only, so they're third-party accessories, not official LimeLight parts.
How to Fit a Stem Without Knocking Your Airflow
- Let the Frolic cool if you've just used it. Glass and the mouthpiece area can be warm.
- Set the AFC ring where you like it first. LimeLight's manual says to hold the ring in place while you line up the mouthpiece tip afterwards.
- Hold the AFC ring still with one hand and push the glass stem straight into the stock mouthpiece with the other. A gentle push is all it needs. No adapters or tools.
- For the angled stem, turn the mouthpiece (not the ring) until the curve points where you want it. The mouthpiece rotates without changing the airflow.
- Draw once with the device off to check the airflow feels like your usual setting.
If a stem ever feels loose in the mouthpiece, stop using it and get in touch with us before your next session. Don't wrap it in tape.
Choosing by How You Use It
- Mostly out and about: the 70 mm short stem.
- Mostly at home: one of the 110 mm stems. Go straight if you hold the Frolic up in front of you, angled if you'd rather keep it low.
- Both: a short stem that lives in the Frolic plus a 110 mm stem that stays at home. Swapping takes seconds.
- Vapour still feels warm: a longer plain stem won't fix that on its own. LimeLight itself notes that vapour above 210 °C may be harsh for some people when inhaled directly, and suggests an additional cooler. Lower the temperature first, then look at a bead or spiral stem, or a water bubbler. Our guide to hot or harsh Frolic vapour takes you through it step by step, and the direct plug-in side bubbler adds water filtration, which a plain stem can't.
Cleaning and Carrying Glass
- Cleaning: soak the stem in isopropyl alcohol, rinse it with warm water and let it dry fully before use. Never run cold water over hot glass. The angled stem's curve is awkward for a straight brush, so give it a full soak.
- Stock parts: LimeLight's manual allows dishwasher cleaning of the cooling unit parts, except the aluminium lock wheel and the O-rings, which should come out first.
- Carrying: remove a 110 mm stem before the Frolic goes into a bag, and keep glass away from keys and chargers. The 70 mm stem is the most compact option, but it's still glass, so carry it protected.
All three stems, plus screens, capsules and water accessories, are in our LimeLight Frolic accessories, parts and stems collection. For everything that fits, see the Frolic accessories guide.
Quick Answers
Do these stems fit other vaporizers?
No. They're sized for the LimeLight Frolic's stock mouthpiece only. For other devices, look at the stems in each device's own collection.
Which Frolic vaporizer mouthpiece should I buy first?
If you're not sure, start with the 70 mm short stem. It changes the least about how the Frolic feels and carries, and you can add a 110 mm stem for home later.
Does a longer stem make the draw harder?
The main control of draw resistance on the Frolic is the AFC ring setting. If the draw tightens after fitting a stem, check that the ring didn't turn while you were pushing the stem in.
Can I use a glass stem and a water bubbler at the same time?
Our Frolic side bubbler connects directly to the device with no WPA, and you draw through the bubbler's own glass, so it replaces a stem rather than working alongside one. The 10/14/18 mm Frolic WPA does the same job for a water pipe you already own.
